The title has been fully integrated into the Steam Workshop, enabling the players to share the airports they have designed. SimAirport's two-dimensional visuals are simple and clear. It is accompanied by the Sandbox mode, in which we don't have to worry about any restrictions. The basic one is Career, in which we can test our skills with strictly limited resources at our disposal. SimAirport offers two variants of gameplay. That is still not the end of our responsibilities - during the game we have to make various decisions concerning, for example, the choice of the airlines with which we will decide to cooperate. Whilst the player does not directly control airplanes, they can decide which airlines are allowed to operate in their airspace. During the game, which takes place in real-time, we observe the action from a top-down perspective, and our task is to take care of all aspects of the airport operations. Airplanes are aircraft that transport passengers to and from an airport. The latter are not only toilets, shops, and restaurants, but also small things like monitors (on which information about our flight schedule is displayed) and comfortable chairs and sofas in waiting rooms. As the title suggests, in SimAirport we play the role of the manager of a virtual airport. The next steps include, first of all, hiring staff (cleaners, clerks, security), as well as taking care of the entire infrastructure to make waiting for a flight more pleasant for the passengers. However, the construction of the terminal building and the design of the runway is not enough.
